Join The Group LA Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes Team! With your support, there's hope! Diabetes can take an enormous emotional and physical toll on people with diabetes and their families. You can help us stop diabetes by joining our Friends & Family Team and raising funds to help the American Diabetes Association provide community-based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.

I also thought this is a great way to network with industry friends!  How great to walk among the historic buildings in Downtown LA and network while working for a good cause.

This cause was chosen because Diabetes affects so many people including family members of those who have the disease. My Dad and my brother both have Type 1 Diabetes in which they have to take a shot of insulin before they eat because their pancreas does not work correctly or at all.  I also know people with Type 2 caused by obesity.
